Liked the ski theme, food was pretty good, had an overall good time. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and asked for no garlic aioli, but they still added it. It was fine, though. Other than that, the spicy chicken sandwich was delicious and the fries were good.
The Snow Globe decor/ambience, which will be there through January 4th, is really fun... sparkly things everywhere! The food is pretty good, and I especially like the chicken piccata and their flourless chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. The prices are reasonable, and our service was very good, despite how many people were there. I highly recommend trying to get a reservation for this special holiday theme!
My first time going here. We went for their snowglobe Holiday Pop up and it was SO FUN! Service was great. The place was so cute and all decked out in Christmas decor and feeling so cozy and warm. The food was really good too. We tried their nachos, chicken piccata and Mac and cheese and all were delicious. Highly recommend and I would def go back.
Love Blue Moose for all things food and drinks. The atmosphere is inviting/friendly and I always enjoy my experience. The beef stroganoff soups is devine and the service top-notch today. I will return in the future.
We ate at the Blue Moose Bat & Cafe in Lenexa Kansas on July 2,2024 The food and service were quite enjoyable tasty and served with pleasant conversation. I enjoyed a very good pick chop dinner while my son had a very good strip steak. The sweet potato fries were delicious. I would recommend the Blue Moose to anyone visiting the much greater Kansas City area .
This was a great place to stop by for lunch! I ordered the 6 Cheese Mac-n-Cheese and Mashed potatoes. The Mac-n-Cheese had a lot of good flavor and texture especially with the breadcrumbs they added. The mashed potatoes had some of the skin put in if you like that, and were creamy. All of the food came out very hot and fresh. The service was very quick and friendly. Constant attention to refills and making sure everything was good. The vibe was very nice, it was clean and put together well.
The Blue Moose is an interesting one. They have a great patio that is perfect for hanging out with friends. The service was great and we had our drinks pretty fast. The food was a little disappointing. One person in our group ordered a medium rare steak on their steak salad and it came out a pretty dry well done. I had the fish and chips, the Cole slaw was the best thing on the plate. The portion was massive, but that does me no good when the batter is bland and the fish tastes... fishy..... The aioli they serve with it would have been better if they replaced it with off the shelf tartar sauce. Great location, great service, mediocre food
My family and I come here a lot - a little bit because we know there's something on the menu for all of us, including my picky toddler, but also because there doesn't happen to be a lot of casual dining around here unless you go up to 87th St. Blue Moose is a big restaurant with casual cabin dining vibes, complete with Blue Moose all around. It's one of my son's favorites. We never seem to have an issue with the hostesses and are generally seated pretty quickly. I'm not sure how the server sections work here, but from here it seems like it always takes 15-20+ minutes to get to us, even when it's not busy. On the worst occasion, I think I waited 35 minutes just to get drinks with several wait staff walking past us multiple times. After that though, and orders are in, things seem to go smoothly and move along as expected. As I mentioned before, the food is always good. My husband usually gets sandwiches or wraps. I change it up sometimes but recently I've been getting the curry. I used to think it was odd to have curry on an other American-style restaurant, but dang is it good here. I definitely recommended adding the blackened shrimp too! Another favorite of mine is the wedge salad + add grilled salmon. 3 stars for spotty service, but bumped up to 4 stars for consistently good food.
